Thrustmaster offers products for both beginner and experienced sim racers.

Which Thrustmaster racing wheel should I choose?

Which Thrustmaster racing wheel is best for you depends on your platform, budget and the sim racing experience you are looking for.

For beginners, complete Thrustmaster racing wheel bundles such as the T248R and T300 RS GT are great options, while more dedicated sim racers can choose more powerful Force Feedback or Direct Drive models such as the Thrustmaster T598 and T818.

What is the difference between Belt Drive and Direct Drive?

With a Belt Drive racing wheel, the force from the motor is transferred to the steering wheel through one or more belts.

With a Direct Drive wheelbase, the steering wheel is connected directly to the motor, without belts or gears.

This allows a Direct Drive system to deliver faster, more precise and more detailed Force Feedback. Thrustmaster offers Direct Drive wheelbases including the T598 and T818.

What is the best Thrustmaster Direct Drive wheelbase?

The best Thrustmaster Direct Drive wheelbase mainly depends on your platform.

The Thrustmaster T598 is a complete Direct Drive solution with versions available for PlayStation, PC and Xbox. For console this it the most powerfull.

The more powerful T818 is designed for PC and is aimed at dedicated sim racers looking for higher performance.

Can I upgrade a Thrustmaster bundle later?

Yes. One of the main advantages of the Thrustmaster ecosystem is that many setups can be upgraded later.

Depending on your wheelbase, you can add a different racing wheel, upgraded pedals, a shifter, handbrake or other accessories. This allows you to expand your Thrustmaster sim racing setup step by step.
