The Moza Racing R16 Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base is a powerful high end wheelbase for sim racers looking for immersion, strong force feedback and detailed feedback from their simulator. With 16 Nm Direct Drive torque, a new high density flat wire motor and an extremely accurate 21 bit magnetic encoder, the R16 Ultra is designed for intensive and competitive sim racing.

The R16 Ultra is the new generation within Moza's 16 Nm class. In addition to its powerful motor, this wheelbase features a fast 600 MHz processor and the new NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1. This allows changes in grip, weight transfer and road surface to be transmitted quickly and accurately through the steering wheel.

16 Nm Direct Drive for powerful force feedback

With 16 Nm of torque, the Moza R16 Ultra offers plenty of power and dynamic range for serious sim racing setups. This allows you to feel not only strong steering forces through fast corners and corrections, but also subtle details such as tyre slip and changes in the road surface.

You do not need to use the full 16 Nm at all times. Through Moza Pit House, you can extensively adjust the force feedback to suit your personal preferences, car and simulator.

New high density flat wire motor

One of the most important upgrades of the Moza R16 Ultra wheelbase is the new high density flat wire motor. This motor is designed for high torque density and extremely smooth rotation with minimal cogging.

This allows the steering wheel to move naturally and smoothly, while small steering corrections and subtle force feedback effects remain clearly noticeable.

21 bit magnetic encoder with over 2 million positions

The R16 Ultra uses a 21 bit magnetic encoder with a resolution of 2,097,152 positions per revolution. This enables the wheelbase to register and process even the smallest steering movements with high accuracy.

The high resolution contributes to smooth steering and detailed force feedback, especially when driving close to the limit of available grip.

NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1

The R16 Ultra uses the Moza NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1. Combined with the powerful 600 MHz processor, the wheelbase quickly processes information from the simulator and translates it into detailed steering forces.

Extensively adjustable through Moza Pit House

Through Moza Pit House, you can adjust the R16 Ultra to suit your driving style, car and simulator. Force feedback strength, damping, friction and other force feedback effects can be configured individually. This allows you to create different settings for GT racing, Formula 1 cars, rally or drifting.

Intelligent temperature management

The Moza R16 Ultra features an intelligent temperature management system. The motor temperature is continuously monitored to help maintain consistent performance and force feedback during long and intensive racing sessions.

Compact aluminium design with RGB lighting

Despite its 16 Nm torque, the R16 Ultra has a relatively compact housing measuring 206 x 140 x 135 mm. The robust aluminium construction provides a solid foundation for a high end sim racing setup.

Two RGB light strips are positioned on top of the wheelbase. The lighting can display various telemetry effects, including ABS, traction control, shift points and flag signals.

Flexible mounting on your sim racing cockpit

The Moza R16 Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base can be mounted from the bottom, front or sides. This makes the wheelbase suitable for a wide range of sturdy sim racing cockpits and aluminium profile rigs.

Due to the high 16 Nm torque, we recommend using a sturdy cockpit designed to handle powerful Direct Drive wheelbases.

Connections for the Moza ecosystem

The R16 Ultra features multiple connections that allow other components from the Moza Racing ecosystem to be connected directly to the wheelbase.

Moza R16 Ultra compatibility

PC and Xbox support

The Moza R16 Ultra is compatible with Windows PC and supports a wide range of popular sim racing games. For use on Xbox, the wheelbase must be combined with the officially licensed Moza ESX Steering Wheel. The R16 Ultra wheelbase itself does not contain an Xbox licence.

PlayStation is not officially supported.

Moza Quick Release

The wheelbase supports the Moza Quick Release system, allowing compatible Moza steering wheels to be mounted and changed quickly. This makes it easy to use different steering wheels for GT racing, Formula 1, rally or drifting.
